Photograph faculty, staff, and students and document lectures and events; employ photographs to enhance the professional presentation of the department in a wide range of applications such as recruiting, newsletters, journal covers, postcards, white papers, websites, video, research news features, interactive modules, and technical instruction
Illustrate original images to translate abstract scientific concepts, ideas, and tangible objects; translate concepts from planning to visualization to implementation; employ illustration to increase quality of on-line and classroom instruction, textbook and journal applications, conceptualization of new technologies, museum displays, and department marketing and recruiting
